Novastrat® 800 is a high-temperature polyimide film with a low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), ~4 ppm/°C from -140°C – +225°C, that closely matches the CTE of many metals and metal oxides.
Novastrat® 800 has been successfully used in applications requiring the stability of low CTE from cryogenic conditions (less than -150°C, -238°F) to very high temperatures (greater than 250°C, 482°F). Novastrat® 800 is a recommended grade for applications that require low CTE and stable properties across a wide range of operating temperatures.
Novastrat® 800 is provided as a film in sheet form or liquid resin for spray or flow casting operations. As a liquid, it bonds well to metals and metal oxides, and is supplied with and without various internal adhesion promoters.
Novastrat® 905 is a high-temperature polyimide film with an essentially zero coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE).
Novastrat® 905 has been successfully used in demanding optics and satellite applications that are exposed to severe temperature fluctuations. Novastrat® 905 is the recommended grade for applications that require essentially zero CTE and stable properties across a wide range of operating temperatures. Novastrat® 905 is provided as a film in sheet form, or liquid resin for spray or flow casting operations. As a liquid, it bonds well to metals and metal oxides, and is supplied with and without a variety of internal adhesion promoters.
Novaclear® Polyimide is a colorless polyimide with a higher temperature stability than Applied’s CP1 Polyimide, exhibiting a glass transition temperature exceeding 330°C.
NovaClear® Polyimide is a transparent, colorless polyimide with temperature durability comparable to many traditional amber polyimides.
NovaClear® has a low yellowness index and high Tg which make this material suitable for use in display applications with high temperatures. It is available as a film, liquid resin, or raw polymer powder.
Liquid NovaClear® resin can be direct coated onto many substrates; however, unlike traditional polyimide resins, no high temperature cure is required for this material. NovaClear® can be custom formulated with pigments, dyes, and many other additive chemistries to meet the needs of many applications.
